Supervisors Recall Notice Of Intention Accepted

Adona says the five supervisors targeted then have seven days to file an answer with the Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters, who then determines whether the proposed petition is sufficient for circulation. Proponents will then have 120 days to collect signatures from 20-percent of registered voters in each district. Adona says that’s around three-thousand signatures per Supervisorial District. Meanwhile, a standalone election would cost 260-thousand dollars. But that drops dramatically, or about a-dollar-25 per voter, if it’s consolidated with a regularly-scheduled election. Adona also mentioned that since they are also the acting government body, the Board of Supervisors would have to call the recall date.
