With the fourth round of the Nevada County COVID Relief Fund getting underway earlier this month, the Board of Supervisors has approved another 100-thousand dollar challenge grant. They’d also approved one for the first round, in the spring, already covering half of the fundraising goal of at least 200-thousand dollars. This round is called the “Small Business Winter Survival Campaign”. The application deadline is January 6th for micro-grants of up to five-thousand dollars. Dardick says recipients are expected to be announced about a week later. To make a donation, go to “NevCo Relief dot-org”. For the year, the Relief Fund has raised nearly 800-thousand dollars, also including nonprofits.
