With the peak of the heatwave expected today, how is Nevada County’s homeless population holding up? The new executive director of Hospitality House in Grass Valley, Nancy Baglietto, says they’ve had a surge of people seeking overnight shelter this week…

Otherwise, Hospitality House normally doesn’t open until 4pm, with most people leaving the next morning by around 7:15. Baglietto says they also try to find referrals and alternative accomodations for people they have to turn away.
