Suspect Abandons Vehicle Still Gets Caught

A suspect with warrants for his arrest tried to ditch law enforcement first by car and then on foot Wednesday afternoon. Grass Valley Police Sgt. Steve Johnson says that the suspect was spotted driving in the Brunswick Basin area around 3:15 PM.

The officer followed Shimnoski into the parking lot and Shimnoski tried to make a run for it.

When officers processed Shimnoski’s jeep they located a large amount of drug paraphernalia including approximately 10 hypodermic needles.
Shimnoski was taken into custody for the warrants, drug related charges, and resisting and fleeing from an officer.
