Suspect Acting Strangely Picked Up in Brunswick Shopping Center

Grass Valley Police picked up a man that was behaving oddly in a shopping center off the Nevada City highway following a call from a concerned citizen. Lt. Alex Gammelgard says the call reported a male suspect acting as if he may be under the influence of a controlled substance.

At that time, the officer performed field sobriety tests.

The officer placed Madsen under arrest and then performed a search of the suspect.

Madsen had just under a half gram of methamphetamine and two hypodermic needles in his possession.
Madsen was booked for being in possession of and under the influence of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.

This is getting scary. Yesterday I had a transient come to my door asking for money. I live out on Dog Bar Road. So it isn't just happening in town. Keep your doors locked and always check to see who is on the other side before opening the door. I never thought I would have to say that living in this county but things have changed and unfortunately they have changed for the worse.
