Officers quickly gave chase and stopped the car, taking 26 year old Patrick Kahler of Grass Valley. Kahler was taken into custody for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, reckless driving and drunk driving. Sergeant Matteoni says even when the officer jumped out of the way of the speeding car, the driver only missed the officer by two feet.
