A male subject walked out of one restaurant and then caused a scene outside a second restaurant in the area and was arrested on a number of charges. The suspect, eighteen year old Christopher Bowman-Stokes, had initially gotten in trouble the night before when he was arrested for resisting arrest. According to Grass Valley Police Lt. Alex Gammelgard the following evening police responded to a restaurant in the Brunswick Basin where Bowman-Stokes was involved in an incident.

The officers arrived to find the suspect inside of a vehicle.

At that point officers removed Bowman-Stokes from the vehicle and his behavior escalated.

The suspect also turned on the officers.

While transporting Bowman-Stokes additional information was learned.

The suspect was booked in to the jail for two counts of burglary, vandalism to the vehicle, resisting a peace officer, and for threatening and assaulting a witness.
