Suspect Arrested Again on Drug Related Charges

A suspect on probation was stopped by Grass Valley Police early Friday morning in the area of Marshall St and Park Avenue. The suspect was known to law enforcement for prior theft and drug related incidents. According to Sgt Clint Bates, the officer searched Christopher Bancroft, 23 of Grass Calley, and discovered several drug related items.

Bancroft was taken into custody but upon arrival at the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility, he admitted to having additional items on his person.

Bancroft was booked on a probation violation as well as two charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
