Suspect Arrested Following Foot Pursuit Across Nevada City Highway

A 22 year old male suspect is back behind bars after trying to get away from a Nevada City Police officer early Tuesday afternoon. According to Sgt Paul Rohde an officer on routine patrol recognized Cody Cook of Penn Valley as a passenger in a vehicle near theĀ  Flyers Gas station on the corner of Brunswick and Old Nevada City Highway. Cook had a warrant for his arrest. As the officer made contact Cook fled.

Cook surrendered as the Nevada City Officer was gaining on him and Grass Valley Police entered the parking lot from the opposite direction. Cody Cook was booked on his out standing warrants and resisting a peace officer and booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
