Suspect Arrested Following Restaurant Break-in

A 32 year old man was taken into custody after he was linked to a break-in at an eatery on Combie Road and Highway 49. Both the fire department and the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at the El Agave Taqueria around 1:00 AM Sunday.

Additional information from a witness said he had seen someone with a flashlight wandering inside the business and provided a description which coincidentally the fire responders said they recognized as someone at the far end of the parking lot concealing himself in the shadows. Deputies made contact with the subject Kenneth Sanchez 32 of Carmichael.

Deputies were able to piece evidence together linking Sanchez to entering the building and he was taken into custody for the alleged burglary.
