Suspect Arrested for Drug Related Charges in Rough and Ready

A repeat offender arrested again in Rough and Ready on drug related charges. Nevada County Sheriff Captain Jeff Pettitt says a deputy on routine patrol spotted a male subject, 36 year old Lee Thompson, get out of a vehicle in front of the Rough and ready Market carrying a black backpack. Pettitt says the deputy knew that a warrant had recently been issued for Thompson’s arrest and stopped to make contact him.Thompson,-Lee10-011

The deputy then asked Thompson about the backpack.

The deputy then searched the backpack and located a bag containing a plastic bag of almost 18 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

The deputy also located an eye-glass container with additional items.

Thompson was taken into custody and booked on the outstanding warrant as well as fresh drug related charges.
