Suspect Arrested for Stabbing and DV Assault

Grass Valley Police find a bloody man walking on the street and learn he stabbed another man. Sergeant Joe Matteoni on Friday night officers saw 38 year old Jason Cockman staggering on the street near Condon Park. The Sergeant says the man had blood all over him and a bloody knife in his pocket. The Sergeant says while officers were talking with Cockman a woman called saying she was the victim of domestic violence and Cockman was the suspect.

Cockman,-Jason1Surrounding law enforcement and the CHP helicopter helped in finding the stabbing victim in a very brushy area near the park. The victim was transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for treatment. Cockman was taken into custody for suspicion of domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon.
