Those charges included attempted robbery and burglary, committing a felony while out on bail. DeLaVega was out on bail for other theft and drug-related arrests in Nevada and Yuba Counties. Johnson says DeLaVega attempted to steal jewelry from Stevenson Jewelry on Colfax Avenue, but a worker in the back was able to scare him off…

It’s believed there was a getaway driver who also fled the scene. That suspect is still at large.
