A suspect wanted in an attempted robbery of a jewelry store in Grass Valley has been arrested. Grass Valley Police Lieutenant Steve Johnson says after collecting evidence since the attempt on December 30, they obtained a search warrant for the arrest of 39 year-old Vincent DeLaVega…
Those charges included attempted robbery and burglary, committing a felony while out on bail. DeLaVega was out on bail for other theft and drug-related arrests in Nevada and Yuba Counties. Johnson says DeLaVega attempted to steal jewelry from Stevenson Jewelry on Colfax Avenue, but a worker in the back was able to scare him off…
It’s believed there was a getaway driver who also fled the scene. That suspect is still at large.
