Suspect Arrested Possession of Meth for Sale

A Penn Valley man arrested for possession of methamphetamine for sale in Grass Valley. According to Grass Valley Police Lt. Steve Johnson, the suspect 35 year old Joshua Smith, was first spotted in an area behind a church on Church St.

At that point the officer did conduct of Smith’s person and property.

After being placed in handcuffs, Smith began complaining of extreme pain in his back and legs. Medical personnel were called and Smith was transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for evaluations.

Smith was transported and booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility for possession of controlled substance, possession for sale, paraphernalia and violation of post release supervision.
