Suspect Charged With Drugs and Stolen Property

A Grass Valley police officer recognized a male subject on East Main Street as having a warrant and attempted to make contact with the male as he entered a convenience store. Sgt Steve Johnson says the subject, Jason Oetter,  panicked and fled the store and a chase ensued.

When officers searched Oetter and his backpack suspicious items were located.

The additional cellphones are also suspected to be stolen.
Oetter was arrested for the existing warrant as well as possession of drugs and paraphernalia, possession of stolen property and resisting an officer. He was also charged with an additional  felony for committing a felony while out on bail.

The case remains under investigation.
