Suspect in Elder Abuse Case Found

A man being sought for elder abuse by Sheriff’s Deputies has been taken into custody. Nevada County Sheriff’s Captain Shannon Moon says deputies following up on the initial case found 46 year old Christopher McCoy early this (Wednesday) morning. The Captain says McCoy was found at a apartment on Sutton Way.

McCoy is accused of causing his father to fall, breaking the 76-year-old’s wrist. Captain Moon says McCoy was booked into the Wayne Brown correctional facility where bail was set at thirty-five thousand dollars.
