Suspect Leads Deputies on Chase, then Crashes

A parolee at large led Sheriff’s Deputies through Penn Valley before ultimately crashing into a utility pole. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says a Deputy saw a car run a stop sign early yesterday (Tuesday) morning. Royal says when deputies stopped the Giguiere,-Zachary1car, the driver allowed the deputy to approach, but then took off. When the driver approached 70 miles an hour on Spenceville Road, the deputy knew the car was going to fast to make a turn. Royal says the driver lost control at Indian Springs Road…

Giguiere was found to be unhurt in the accident. He was taken into custody for suspicion of being a parolee at large and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
