A subject being treated at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Tuesday turned into suspect when he wouldn’t leave the emergency room.
Grass Valley Police Sgt Steve Johnson says that officers were called to the hospital just before noon about a man, 35 year old Shannon Peel, that had become aggravated after being treated at the emergency room.

The officer was able to convince Peel to unlock the door and come out and then the officer discovered something rather unpleasant.

While being escorted out of the hospital Peel broke free and attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended and placed into a patrol car where he continued to display combative and aggressive behaviors including slamming his head against the window. After being transported to the jail Peel made yet another poor choice.

In the end Peel was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional facility for allegedly vandalizing the hospital, resisting arrest, and bringing drugs into the jail.
