Suspect On Campus Without Permission Goes to Jail

An unidentified adult male on the Nevada Union High School campus ended up going to jail. Sheriff Keith Royal tells KNCO the subject, later identified as, Philip Hempel, 54, drew the attention of a School Resource Officer around 10:00 AM.

Hempel apparently smelled of alcohol and could give no good reason for being on campus. The officer ran a records check.

Hempel’s Placer County warrants are related to possession of marijuana plants.
