Suspect Runs After Mortorcycle Stop

A CHP Officer on  Patrol at McCourtney near Allison Ranch Road yesterday afternoon noticed a motorcycle with no registration sticker on the plates and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.  CHP officer Brant Hardin says the driver pulled over but then started acting nervous when the officer asked for his ID.

The officer chased the suspect into the Powerhouse Museum parking lot . Then the suspect ran into the deer creek drainage area.

Wright,-William32 year old William Wright, a transient was booked into the Wayne Brown correctional Facility on charges of auto theft, being in possession of stolen property and driving while under the influence.  He was also found to be a Parolee at Large with  Warrants for his arrest  out of Placer County . The motorcycle Wright was driving had been stolen out of Yuba County.
