Suspected Thieves Arrested in Truckee

Two people have had their crime spree focused on stealing from unlocked cars come to an end. Truckee Police Detective Sergeant Jason Litchie says Wiley Washam and Brittany Nash both of Truckee are accused of breaking into a number of cars that were left unlocked during the Thanksgiving holidays. Litchie says the pair were taking electronic equipment and personal property from the car.

Sergeant Litchie says investigators were able to track the pair because of the use of a GPS car unit. A number of personal items have been recovered from the thieves home. Both of the people were taken into custody for suspicion of receiving stolen property.The Sergeant is reminding residents to take an extra second and lock their cars.
