Tahoe Forest Lands Reopen After Lowell Fire

With full containment approaching for the Lowell fire, National Forest System lands within the Tahoe National forest that had been impacted are once again available for recreationists, according to Public Affairs Officer Michael Woodbridge…

Woodbridge says the land is between Highway 20 and I-80, including the Chalk Bluff and Buckeye Ridge areas….

But Woodbridge says visitors should still be aware of fire equipment and vehicles that will still be in the area for a while longer, including for rehabilitation activities.
