Taylor Gets 30 Years To Life

It’s 30 years to life in prison for a Nevada City man convicted of multiple charges of lewd and lascivious conduct involving girls under 14. Nevada County District Attorney Cliff Newell says the probation department recommended 90 years to life for 52-year-old Robert Taylor. Newell says there were 5 victims, who were daughters of Taylor’s wife or girlfriends. But 2 of the cases were prosecuted, due to legal difficulties with the other cases. A motion for a new trial was rejected a few days earlier…

Taylor was arrested over 3 years ago, but wasn’t convicted until May. The trial was moved from the courthouse in Nevada City to one in Truckee, because an employee at the Nevada City courthouse was related to one of the victims.
