The number of teachers in California grew by about 2-percent, from 2014 to 2015, or around 4-thousand. The highest average teacher salary in Nevada County can be found in the Pleasant Ridge Elementary School District, at over 73-thousand dollars a year, an increase of 985 dollars from 2014.The lowest average pay is in the Chicago Park Elementary School District, at over 54-thousand, an increase of 150 dollars. The statewide average is over 74-thousand.
