Terry Tempest Williams, is a writer, a naturalist, and a crusader for protection of the nation’s wilderness…At the heart of all Williams’ work is the common theme of restoration: restoring our connection to the land, to the sacred, and to each other . She has testified before Congress on women’s health issues, been a guest at the White House, has camped in the remote regions of Utah and Alaska wildernesses and is known for her impassioned and lyrical prose, Hospitality House Director Joanna Robinson, says Terry Tempest Williams will be coming to Grass Valley for an evening talk .

The evening is a benefit for Hospitality House, SYRCL’s Wild and Scenic Arts and Lectures, and “Finding the Good” a traveling high school semester program on the Ridge that focuses on sustainability. Robinson says she has heard Terry Tempest Williams talk before.
