The state sponsored COVID -19 testing site in Western Nevada County is up and running in Grass Valley. The site opened at the Grass Valley Veteran’s Building on South Auburn Street Tuesday morning and tested about 60 people during the first day. Lt Robert Jakobs, with the Office of Emergency Services, says the site was set-up quickly and began operations immediately unlike in some other counties.
Several members of the Board of Supervisors were given a tour of the testing site this morning. Supervisor Heidi Hall is thankful the county was able to get a site.
Dan Miller went through the testing process as part of the tour, and says the experience wasn’t too bad- even making a little joke.
