Thanksgiving Courtesy Rainbow Market

For the fourth straight year, the Rainbow Market in Nevada City is providing free Thanksgiving meals. Owner Maggie Maloney says the meals are to-go, and all you have to do to get one is show up.

Maloney says in the past, they’ve served about 80 meals, and this year, they are planning on about a hundred. She says the people they’ve helped out in the past, are offering to help her now.

The Rainbow Market is located at 16797 Highway 49 in Nevada City. Again those meals will be available from noon-3pm (on Thursday).

Other free meals around Nevada County: Gold Country Calvary Chapel (415 N. Pine Street in Nevada City) from 11am-1pm, and the Crossroads Church in Grass Valley has a sign-up list for those wanting a Thanksgiving meal, The Nevada City Elks is providing Dinner for vets and their families- Brandon Walden and his family willbe there at 2:30.
