More people are predicted to be headed out of town for the holiday weekend this year. The annual Triple-A survey of Thanksgiving travel shows 5.6 million Californians plan to travel 50 miles or more this holiday weekend, with 4.8 million of those people traveling by car. Tomorrow (Wednesday) will be the busiest travel day, and if you’d like to stay out of the worst traffic, you shouldn’t be on the freeways in the afternoon…
That’s also true if you return on Sunday. Harris says this year’s holiday travel is expected to be the busiest since 2007.
