Funding comes from the Nevada Irrigation District, the Placer County Water Agency, and the City of Grass Valley, which approved up to three-thousand dollars at their January 14 City Council meeting. Dardick says the program was discontinued in 2007 due to lack of funding, but had been a successful way for kids to learn.

The assemblies will start appearing in local schools in March.
