The Laramie Project

Ten years after the brutal death of gay  University of Wyoming student Matthew Shepard, five members of Tectonic Theater Project returned to Laramie to try to understand the long-term effect of the murder. They found a town wrestling with its legacy and its place in history. Project director Sarah Steeley says this new play is vastly different from the original.

Steeley also says that taking the play on tour through northern California allows the spread of the message of understanding and tolerance.*
