‘The Long Walk’ To Benefit Homeless

Imagine being homeless, and having to constantly be moving from place to place, and everytime you stop anywhere for any length of time, you are told to move. You can learn a little bit about what’s that’s like, and also help the homeless at the same time. On Saturday, Hospitality House will be hosting a walk-a-thon called ‘The Long Walk, which really isn’t that long. It’s about a 1.8-mile walk around the Brunswick Basin…

The walk will be on Saturday at 9am, starting at the Utah’s Place homeless shelter–1262 Sutton Way. Registration is from 7:30 to 9. Cost is 25 dollars, or you can raise more by getting pledges. A barbecue, with music and ice cream will be offered after the walk, and there will be raffle prizes including trips to Disneyland and Lake Tahoe. For more information, visit H-H shelter dot-org.

Ever wonder why this town is looking more and more 3rd world? It's the homeless shelter and the encampments. Get both out of town and things will improve for those of us who choose to be productive members of society.
