Thief Allegedly Confesses to Multiple Burglaries

A Grass Valley man is under arrest after he confessed to breaking into a number of homes throughout the area. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says a victim reported that a watch stolen in a recent burglary was for sale on internet auction site, Ebay. Investigators went to a gold business on Mill Street in Grass Valley that was listing the watch. The business owner said 28 year old Thomas Floyd Johnson had pawned the watch. The Sheriff says investigators located Johnson and searched his home.

Royal says Johnson confessed to ten different burglaries in the Grass Valley Nevada City area. Investigators are working to return the additional stolen items that were seized. Johnson was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional facility on suspicion of burglary.
