Thief Caught Hiding in Woods

A suspected thief took off running from a business on McKnight Way Monday evening and was caught a short distance away with all of the loot. Grass Valley Police responded to a call of a person stealing electronic equipment from the Radio Shack just before 6:00 PM. Lt Alex Gammelgard says officers located an individual meeting the suspects description in a wooded area about a block away.

The suspect was in possession of items reported stolen from the business.

Over 700 dollars in merchandise had been stolen. The suspect, Sean Bernard, 36 of Grass valley was taken into custody and booked for burglary and possession of stolen property.
