Thief Gets Drilled When Trying to Sell Stolen Items

A woman responsible for stealing items from one Grass Valley business tried to sell them at another store a short distance away. Grass Valley police Captain Rex Marks says employees of B&C True Value Hardware noticed several expensive drill bits missing from the store. Coincidentally a B&C employee was able to locate the stolen drill bits while shopping at the Bargain Barn on the Nevada City Highway.

26 year old Veronica Ponzio of Penn Valley was taken into custody after she was identified as the seller of the drill bits. She was charged with suspicion of burglary, receiving stolen property and possession of dangerous drugs.
