Thieves Target Packages in Cars

The Grinch has returned to make his presence known in the Nevada County. CHP Public Information Officer Marc Morrison says his agency is receiving several calls about Christmas presents being stolen from cars when people have left them unattended. Officer Morrison says driver should take extra precautions when they have presents in their cars.

Covering up presents or placing the presents in the trunk of the car eliminates a thief from seeing your purchases. Reporting a suspicion person to law enforcement may prevent the theft from some one else’s car.
