Think Outside the Box for Hospitality House

Think Outside the Cardboard Box is a fundraising event for Hospitality House, Nevada County’s homeless shelter,  happening at the Nevada County Fairgrounds this weekend. .  Participants set a goal to raise $100 in pledges and contributions and sleep overnight in a cardboard box “home” that they may decorate in a simple way.   Hospitality House Board President Joanna Robinson says its a way to have fun and also show solidarity with the core homeless and get information.

Hospitality House will  will provide dinner and breakfast for participants, consisting of what Robinson calls  modest, homeless-shelter style meals.

The event kicks off at 3:00 pm Saturday  October 13th and  concludes at 9:00 am on Sunday, October 14th at the Nevada County Fairgrounds.
