Threatening Texts Lead to Auburn Arrest

A man arrested for sending death threats to his ex-girlfriend is expected to be in court today.  Auburn police arrested Myles Salyers over the weekend.  Sgt. Michael Garlock reviews the unique delivery method of the threats.

Police picked up Salyers at a Grocery Outlet parking lot Saturday night.

Sgt. Garlock clarified that its not the number of threats that can get a person in trouble.

Salyer was booked into Placer County Jail for making criminal threats through an electronic message; possession of prescription medications without a prescription; violation of a court order and driving under the influence. As of Monday afternoon, Salyer remains in custody .
