Wet roads and right-of-way issues led to three separate accidents as the rain fell throughout the day and evening yesterday. Highway Patrol Officer Justin Barnthouse says the first accident happened in Alta Sierra on Gary Way.

The second collision occurred at 2:40 PM on Ridge Road at Carey Road. Barnthouse says this one involved a pickup truck leaving a stop sign before the road was clear.

Only minor injuries in that collision. The third incident happened around 7:30 PM on Lime Kiln Rd and Highway 49 that was similar to the Ridge Road accident

Barnthouse stresses the importance of keeping speed down when driving in wet conditions and to be mindful of right-of-way rules, especially in bad weather. More rain is expected over the weekend.
