Three Auburn Men Injured In Hwy 49 Solo Crash

An accident on Highway 49 in south Nevada County injured three Auburn residents and created a long backup for commuters for several hours late Tuesday afternoon. Tassone says Velasco then aggressively over-corrected and flipped over several times, stopping in the northbound lanes. He was ejected onto the roadway and flown to the hospital, where he is last reported to be in “critical” condition. Tassone says it’s amazing that no other motorists were affected…

Tassone says because the two passengers WERE wearing seatbelts, they had only minor injuries and declined transport to the hospital.
