Three Elected to Grass Valley City Council

Voter Turnout in Nevada County was 49-point 8 percent for this General election. County voters  say “yes” to sales tax measures for Grass Valley and Nevada City; “no” to a  property tax assessment for  Pleasant Ridge School District residents; and on the Grass Valley City Council,  Howard Levine joins incumbents Jan Arbuckle and Lisa Swarthout in running the city.
Howard Levine who wins a seat on city council after twelve years running the Grass Valley Downtown Association says he wants to recapture leaking sales tax revenue.

Lisa Swarthout who returns to the city council for a third term  says she wants to complete unfinished business.

And Jan Arbuckle, currently mayor of Grass Valley, received the most votes and appreciates the community support for a job well done.

Jim  Firth came in  in fouth place behind Arbuckle, Swarthout and Levine.
