And one of those was not my wife…not to leave out Roxanne. But, saw my Granddaughter, Hazel, enjoy the Fair with her Mom and Dad and Mimi!! She is so precious. Then, I was pleased to meet Adelle Hollmer in person. She is a member of Meadowlarks 4H club and wrote a letter to our station that I read on the air. And, dressed in her 4H whites, since she was showing her project (her pig named Tank), she took time to walk over to the gazebo and thank me personally for reading her letter and supporting all the kids in FFA and 4H. How mature is that for a 9 year old!! And, then had the honor of interviewing and renewing acquaintances with Rose Thompson, the Fair’s newest Hall of Fame inductee during my talk show. I had a great day at the Fair…cannot wait for tomorrow!!

Went to the Fair yesterday - 19 years in a row! For a NYC kid, there's nothing like it. Never had something like this there and I was hooked from the first time I went. Saw your quilt - nicely done! Who'd thunk, years back in Jersey, you'd be a quilter! Woulda got you beat up in my neighborhood!
