Three people have been hospitalized–one airlifted out after a crash on Highway 20 near Penn Valley. CHP Officer Greg Tassone says a woman was driving westbound on Highway 20 near Pleasant Valley Road aroud 5:45 last night…
The Lexus then struck another vehicle…
The driver that hit the deer–a 69 year-old Grass Valley woman, was airlifted to Sutter-Roseville Hospital with major injuries to arms and legs. A 72 year-old man and 66 year-old woman in the second vehicle were taken by ambulance to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital with injuries to the chest and neck. The third driver complained of some pain but refused to be transported. Tassone has said it many times before–don’t swerve if a deer jumps out in front of you…
Highway 20 was closed in both directions for about an hour.

I was driving behind the pickup when I noticed debris coming off of the pickup. The car swerved one way and jerked into the oncoming lane. So much force was involved with the crash that it dominoed into another car. I somehow was able to stop in time. Hopefully everyone is okay. What is the status of the injured?
