The first significant snowfall in more than a month also complicated a camping trip for a Grass Valley man, who had to be rescued, along with two friends, Monday night. Nevada County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Andrew Trygg says the trip began for one of the men last Thursday in the Carr Lake area, where his vehicle had gotten stuck…
And Trygg says those two men did not have extra supplies with them…
Trygg says other than being a bit cold the men suffered no ill effects. A German shepard was also rescued. The elevation of Carr Lake is around 67-hundred feet. It’s north of Lake Spaulding, in the eastern part of the county, and is a popular hiking and camping destination.
