Three Wisconsin Men Arrested for Pot Transport in Truckee

Truckee CHP and Truckee PD collaborated on an arrest of three Wisconsin men that were transporting marijuana back home.  According to CHP officer Michael McDonnell, while using a Lidar (light detection and ranging) speed enforcement unit, he spotted a white Dodge Charger travelling at excessive speeds on east bound Highway 80 at the base of the Donner interchange. According to McDonnell he initiated a traffic stop and noticed the odor of marijuana.

Truckee Police Officer Andrew Holbrook arrived on scene with Trax and the dog alerted on the vehicle. A subsequent search located 16 pounds of processed marijuana.
The three men,  29 year old Andrew Fieberger, 29 year old Justin Wright and 56 year old Anthony Wright all from River Falls, Wisconsin eventually admitted they had flown into San Francisco and rented the vehicle and were aware they were in possession of the marijuana. All three were booked into the Nevada County Jail on possession of more than one once of marijuana, possession of and transporting marijuana for sale, and criminal conspiracy.
