We are down to the final three weeks of the high school football regular season. The final chances to see our local kids play on the varsity gridiron. I know that Nevada Union will not be going to the playoffs. And, there is a strong chance that even Bear River might miss this year. But just as the kids are stepping and up on the field, it is time for the fans to also step up and cheer the players on. The players, especially the seniors, have been waiting their whole lives to run onto the fields at Hooper Stadium or Ramsey Stadium, as part of the great varsity tradition. Part of that experience is the support of the community.
The most favorite thing I get to do at the radio station is broadcast high school sports. I consider it an honor and privilege regardless of the wins and losses. We’ll be there until the last play of the season. I hope you will be there, too.
