Tomato Tasting Set for Saturday

It tastes as sweet as a pineapple – and the “tomatillo” is among attractions when Nevada County Master Gardeners offer tomato tasting Saturday (Sept. 8) at the Nevada Irrigation District in Grass Valley.

The tomatillo is related to the tomato.

The tomato tasting, held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., allows Nevada County Master Gardeners to get an idea of what to grow.

The Saturday event, that starts at 10 a.m., is held at 1036 West Main St. in Grass Valley.
