Tornado Touches Down at Lake Of The Pines- Power Outages

A tornado touched down in the Lake of The Pines area around 5:45 Monday evening. The tornado went right over the Higgins Corner Fire District Station 21. A spokesperson for the Station 21 crew describes what happened.

Fire personnel strongly urge residents to stay indoors until the storm passes. Power lines are down at Brewer,  Sharmiden, and Wolfe Roads

Winter storm warnings are in place over most of foothills and higher Sierras until Tuesday morning.
