Traffic Stop Leads to Pot Bust in Truckee

Two men traveling eastbound on Highway 80 in Truckee ran into some unexpected trouble just before midnight Tuesday when driving too fast for the icy road conditions.
CHP Public Information Officer, Pete Mann, explains that CHP officers discovered a large amount of marijuana when a discussion with the driver and passenger led  to a seach of the vehicle.

The suspect, 34 year old Samuel Wesley Cummins, of Maryland was booked into the wayne Brown Correctional Facility and the CHP is continuing to invesigate the incident.
