Trailer Destroyed in Nevada City Fire

A call of a structure fire in Nevada city shortly before 8 o’clock this morning drew a response of four fire engines before it was learned that it was not a structure on fire, but a trailer being pulled by a pick up truck. Nevada County Consolidated Fire District Captain Kevin Menet says the first arriving units called off the additional engines.*

The first fire engine on scene was able to quickly douse the fire. Captain Menet says the source of the fire may have been the yard tractor being hauled in the trailer.

The entire contents of the trailer were destroyed, so Menet says it would be difficult to tell what caused the fire. There was no damage to the pickup truck.
