Transient Arrested for Suspected Theft

A transient is under arrest after Police found him in possession of keys to a stolen car and stolen property from a Grass Valley house.  Police Captain Rex Marks says Officers saw 38 year old Christopher Day in the area of the Kidder Cemetery, and knew he had a warrant for his arrest. The Captain says officers found a set of car keys in Day’s pocket and Upon questioning the suspect he was found to have property from a break-in of a home reported earlier that morning.

The Captain says additional property was recovered which may have be stolen from other victims. Day was taken into custody for suspicion of burglary, possession of a stolen car and the warrant for his arrest.
